Littleton is a small town located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, about ten miles south of Denver. Its population at the 2010 U.S. census was recorded at 41,737. Littleton was incorporated in 1890 after first having been settled in the 1860’s as a result of the gold rush. The town is named after George Sullivan Little, an engineer who followed the gold rush west in order to work on irrigation systems.
