About Aurora, CO
Aurora Colorado was founded in the 1880's outside of Denver. Aurora was officially given its name in 1907, when it was renamed Aurora after previously carrying the name Fletcher. Aurora was founded by a man named Donald Fletcher who saw the land Aurora Colorado was located on as a real estate investment. Aurora, Colorado was designated an All-America City in 2008 by the National Civic League.
Aurora, Colorado is home to many companys, the largest of which is the U.S. Military. Buckley Air Force Base is located in Aurora, and was built in Aurora Colorado by the Army Air Corps in 1942. Before Buckley Air Force base existed, Aurora Colorado was also home to Lowry Air Force Base, which was built in 1938. Metro Moving and Storage has been proudly serving Aurora, Colorado since 1969.
